"The first NYC Gay Pride March was held in 1970 and is the oldest gay pride parade. The March has been and will continued to be called a March not a Parade until there is full equality for the LGBTQ community."
Today they held the 2009 Gay Pride March which started at 52nd and 5th Ave and ended at Greenwich Village. As expected, it was colorful, fun, loud and packed!! Below are a few of my favorite shots I took -- sorry I'm only 5'3" so expect the worst of the view... LOL. still tried though :) Kudos to the lovely guy who let me took his spot!!!
